‘I Told Management They Were Having an Affair; She Got Fired’: Employee Informs New Managers of Cheating Coworker's Affair Following Unfair Public Rebuke

The forbidden love trope is a fan favorite, but in real life it just plain sucks for pretty much everyone involved, minus the two lovers. Most of the time, affairs are an unfortunate symptom of an underlying issue in people's marriages, and they tend to live a bitter, fiery aftermath of hurt feelings and rotten flowers. Some people are better than others at hiding their romantic escapades, but when you're (for lack of a better word) dating someone at work, coworkers are bound to find out.

In this case, OP worked as an accountant at a motel with one of the city's best restaurants on the property. With her worked a bunch of other people, including a Head Chef and Lead Host, who were 'secretly' having an affair, despite both being married to other people. Unfortunately for this pair, there was a big batch of security footage of them entering motel rooms together and leaving them much, much later. Furthermore, the Head Chef thought it would be a genius idea to embarrass OP for no good reason via the work agenda at a meeting. He basically called her out for 'slacking' while on the job, because she had a great (platonic) relationship with a fellow coworker.

At first, OP didn't do anything about it, but then the motel owners sold the property, and OP's job was on the line.
